Barbara Gillies
Barbara brings a lifetime of commitment to disability advocacy and service to her role as a Director of Golden Rainbow International.
With more than 30 years’ experience as a manager with Westnet Disability Services in Melbourne, she has dedicated her professional life to improving opportunities, support and dignity for people living with disability.
In retirement, Barbara continues her advocacy through lived experience, both as an amputee and as the primary carer for her husband, who is blind and living with disability.
Her deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families informs her work as a Consumer Representative on the panel at Calvary Care. Barbara’s insight, compassion and decades of leadership make her a powerful voice for inclusion and equitable care.
